Tommy Dreelan

Team Principal

Irish born Tommy has been based in Aberdeen for many years, so the name ‘Celtic Speed’ was an ideal choice for him.

He competed in the British Carrera Cup Series 2008 – 2011.

Tommy now competes in Group C Series and F1 Historics.

Aaron Scott

Aaron Scott

Manager/Coach

Aaron Scott has an extensive motorsport CV and is well known for his exploits in GT racing. Aaron started racing in karts when he was 14 and graduated to sports cars via Formula Ford and British Formula 3. He has been working with Celtic Speed since it’s inception in the Porsche Carrera Cup where he had the role of driver coach. In the Historic racing he still works as driver coach and driver. Aaron now runs Scott Sport and his team manage all of Celtic Speed’s racing in Historic racing. As a driver his recent highlight was finishing 2nd in the GTE Am category at the 24 hours of Le Mans in 2017 and as a race winner in the European Le Mans Series.

Stephen Glover

Stephen Glover

Technician

Steve has always been passionate about cars and started his career as a Technician for Ferrari where he worked up to a senior position.

Steve got into motorsport via the Tech9 Motorsport team where he worked with their TVR Tuscans and eventually their Porsche Cup cars. He was part of the teams success as they won the FIA GT3 European Championship with the late Sean Edwards. After Tech9 Steve joined Scuderia Vittoria to work with their Ferrari, Ginetta and Renault Clio cars.

Steve joined Celtic Speed in 2015 and predominantly looks after the 962.

Simon Lainchbury

Simon Lainchbury

Technican

Simon’s career also started as a vehicle technician with the Ferrari dealership. He moved to motorsport when he joined Mtech in 2008 and became their lead technician on the Ferrari 430 before moving on to the 458 GT3. Simon spent 5 years working for Mtech before joining AF Corse in 2013. He still works with AF Corse to this day and is involved in many programmes in Britain, Europe and Asia.

He joined Celtic Speed in 2014 and is a valued member of the team, working on all cars and specialising in the Spice Group C and March F1 car.

Diego Gottardi

Engineer

Diego is an Italian Engineer with a vast array of experience in single seater and GT cars. He has spent his career in top line motorsport working as a lead engineer with Ferrari GT constructor Michellotto and Italian GT team, AF Corse for many years before joining the privateer Porsche team, Proton Motorsport. Diego also has a passion for historic cars and works in his ‘spare’ time restoring some beautiful Formula 1 cars.

Race Engineer

Lee Penn has worked for such companies and teams as Porsche, Alfa Romeo, Motec, Ray Mallock Ltd (RML), Team LNT, Scuderia Ecosse and CR Scuderia, gaining a wealth of experience at all levels as well as competing with his own car in various Championships in the UK. Lee is one of the UK’s leading race engineers and has engineered 2 victories in the Le Mans 24 hour.

Eliza Seville

Celtic Speed

Eliza Seville studied at the National College for Motorsport whilst gaining experience in the Clio Cup and Britcar.  She completed her apprenticeship with TF Sport racing in the European Le Mans Series and Le Mans 24 hour. Eliza decided she wanted to gain experience working on the older legends of motorsport and she joined the Celtic Speed team in 2018 and was part of the Classic Daytona 24 hour winning team.
